Dear Anon,
In my opinion, your cornice do not pose poison arrow as it is usually made of gpysum board. The height from the ceiling to the ground is quite a distance away.
They are multiple (3) and long as opposed to a pointed edge.
I personally feel that there is no issue in the type of cornice mentioned. Although the preference is for a simpler design.
